Lead Singer - Kyler Richard
Hi everyone, I'm Kyler Richard, the lead singer and rhythm guitar player for Klozure. Music has been a big part of my life since I was about 13. I grew up with my mom and dad playing rock music on a local radio station, which is where my taste in music comes from. Some of my influences in rock include Maynard James Keenan (Tool), Daniel Tompkins (TesseracT), and Lajon Witherspoon (Sevendust). I aspire to be different as a singer. With these influences in mind, I hope to be as great as them and to contribute what I have learned from them in our own music. On the guitar side, some of my influences for rhythm guitar include James Hetfield (Metallica) and both guitarists from TesseracT. Overall, I constantly learn new techniques for guitar and singing, and I try my hardest to contribute them to the band and our music.
Lead Guitarist - Benton Nesmith
Hey guys, it's Benton Nesmith. I was born and raised in Dallas, TX, but luckily moved to Southeast Texas, where I eventually met these guys. I started playing guitar when I was way younger by taking lessons from my dad, Mark Nesmith. Eventually, I joined Little Kids Rock through my middle school. During that time my teacher, Rodney Dittmar, really helped me get better at guitar and inspired me to keep playing. I always wanted to get to play with a group of people who had the same music taste as me, so when I had a chance with the band I was very excited. I guess I'd say my biggest influences are my dad, Mr. Dittmar, Adam Jones (Tool), Jerry Cantrell (Alice in Chains), and Mark Hosking and Drew Goddard (Karnivool). Klozure baby.
Bassist - Shelby Balsano
Hey guys, I’m Shelby Balsano, the bass player for Klozure. I started out playing lead for the band in the beginning, but then Benny took over as lead (and he’s definitely more fit for that spot than I am), and I filled in the position of bass. However, ever since I started playing bass, I’ve aspired to focus more on the technicality of bass. I truly believe that the more technique you learn, the more diverse you can be, and I aspire to be a diverse player to help complement everybody else in the band. Some of my biggest inspirations are Amos Williams (TesseracT), Les Claypool (Primus), Geddy Lee (Rush), and Justin Chancellor (Tool).
Drummer - Hayden Snider
What’s up guys, I'm Hayden Snider, I'm the drummer for Klozure, and I’ve been playing drums my whole life. I started out playing rock and metal music, and I eventually started playing jazz music at our local high school, as well as Afro, Cuban, Mambo, Samba, and many others. Every genre of music that I’ve played has influenced the way I play in our songs. When I play with the guys I try to think differently than when I play by myself. I want to play for the songs and connect with each other as a whole. In my opinion, being a drummer in a band holds everyone together and adds emphasis to the other musicians. But overall, I wouldn’t play how I play without the drummers who have inspired me. My father (Chad Snider), Martin Trammel, Danny Carey (Tool), John Bonham (Led Zeppelin), and Matt Garstka (Animals As Leaders). One day I wish to live up to my inspirations and reach my full potential with Klozure.
